Certification of standards that allow for trustworthiness of the profession is critical, and uniquely difficult in the fields of mental health where interactions are profound and private and measures are hard to come by. These features make it crucial that psychoanalysis has a credible and reliable national board. I feel an obligation to contribute what I can and am privileged to have the possibility to serve.
